about the project
Heidi at Zenadia Design is a fabulous HANDMADE invitation designer who creates works of art for weddings and events. She has a bit of experience in design ( to say the least ). So… she designed her site and I custom coded it in WordPress for her.
As you dive deeper into the site, subtle background patterns change to fit the feel of the category. In the backend, she can easily add new invitation galleries, uploading them a folder at a time. Once loaded, it’s super easy to drag and drop the order by thumbnail. On the frontend, I added a “zoom” button to her galleries in case a user wants to ignore the details for a bit and just focus on the images.
Heidi has an amazing amount of press, both print and online. When clicking on one or the other, the thumbnails slide into place.
I made sure to keep her SEO intact by importing her old blog. She has a TON of categories including a whole section of posts tagged by color. Instead of a long list of categories, I created a drop down that also includes auto-suggest search.
words from Heidi
I can't say enough amazing things about Deb! She was super easy to work with and is incredibly knowledgeable in the world of web design and functionality. Her attention to detail is spot on, and shows through all aspects of her work, right down to her emails. Deb was an invaluable asset to helping my website be easy to use, beautiful to look at and above all, functional. Your website is your "business card" online, and I really feel like Deb helped me represent my brand online in the best possible way.
